You can use common vinegar. Vinegar is cheapest descaler and easy to find.

How to avoid needs of frequent descaling?

It is very simple, if you have hard water simply use some filter such as Brita Pitcher (Maxtra technology). Some coffee machine has this filters already installed in water tank. I use this Pitcher at home, so no reason to not use it for my Caffitaly machine. The result for me is 1/3 less often descaling.

  3. Hi mine did the same thing

what I did was I turned it off unpluged it from tyhe pwer left it for a few hour then pluged it back in and turned it on and descaled it straight away. this should reset the machine

  4. I have caffitaly model S05 .I dont know can i buy Descaling liquid for Nesspreso Machine and use it on my Caffitaly and not to brake and destroy my machine?

  5. Avoid the ripoffs. Go to any Walmart pharmacy and have them special order citric acid. It come in a powder and emits a very pleasant odor when heated, as opposed to vinegar. I use a large container for up to 5 years, good for hot iron. But mostly, here in OH-PA we have the hardest water so the mainline water conditioner gets a bag of salt every month.
